Merry Christmas
« on: 17.12. 2013 22:26 »
Merry Christmas to all ...   & thank you for the help rebuilding my bike...   *smile*

As you may know, some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" out with friends. Well, two days ago, I was out for an evening with friends and had several beers followed by some rather nice cocktails.

Feeling buzzed, I still had the sense to know that I may be slightly over the limit. That's when I did something that I've never done before: I took a Taxi home. Sure enough, on the way home, there was a police road block, but since it was a Taxi, they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident. This was a real surprise as I had never driven a Taxi before, I don't know where I got it, and now that it's in my garage, I don't know what to do with it.     *whistle*

Add that one to the two I have hidden down the back, we could start something. Hire them out at the pub. *idea*
Cheers to all every day, not just the one fussed over.

Four of Santa's elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones,
and Santa began to feel the Pre-Christmas pressure.

Then Mrs. Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more.

When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth
and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where.

Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked,
the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.

Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum.
When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drunk all the cider and hidden the liquor.
In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor.
He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.

Just then the doorbell rang, and an irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open,
and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.

The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa.
Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you.
Where would you like me to stick it?'

And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.    *bright idea*

My Beeza is tucked up nice and warm for the duration of the road salting season. My wife and I have moved out of our home of thirty years. Our stuff is in storage as we cannot move to the new house yet. We are spending Christmas at our sons house and the rest of the kids and their partners are coming to stay. We are looking forward to a cozy housefull of lovely people. I hope that over the next week you all find yourselves in the midst of loving people. Enjoy Christmas guys!

Great humour guys and kind sentiments. *smiley4*.

May all your projects get finished. May the breeze be always at your back...and above all may you all stay safe on the road.

My 87 year old mums christmas wish from last year, a go on the back of my A7, achieved on Xmas day with the help of the children to lift her on and off.
Hope this one is as good and that you all have a great time.  *beer*
