Phil Everly
« on: 04.01. 2014 06:24 »
hi guys, Singer Phil Everly, of the Everly Brothers, dies at 74. I`m sure that a lot of other members on this forum would have grown up with the everly bros music, I certainly did and they were one of my favorite duo`s, R.I.P. Phil, cheers

Sad indeed, unique harmony - first hit over here I think was "all I have to do is dream" - coincided with me starting secondary school shortly after came Cliff's "move it" again you remember where you heard it first, then started work to "Living Doll", first meeting with the opposite  sex to "Kathy's Clown".
Now I'm more into Stones and most stuff that makes the car windows wobble but still like a bit of the nostalgic and lastly one that I always wonder why I like - Skinny Minnie from Mr William Haley, probably because again a little quirky for it's time

Scottish band Nazareth is the normal choice for some reason,

For a very good reason - one  of my favourate bands - although other stuff they did I like better.
For a treat look up "you wouldn't do that to a white Boy", "Shanghied in Shanghi","Turn on your reciever"
up until a year or two ago they were still working, two of the original band still there Danny Macaferry (spelling !!) still singing
