Hi new to the bsa scene just got my first bsa which is a a10 1960 in need of some restoration,always wanted one since my older brothers had them when i was a child,will find this site very usefull with the rebuild inc trying to identify the front hub which is a single sided 8" with 2"holes cheers mike

Mike,
 welcome to the forum  *smile* might be worth telling us where you're from and posting some pictures of the '60 as acquired. There are some instructions on the site how to add your flag of origin.

Sounds like you've got either the goldstar or A65 front hub with the knockout plugs. A popular retrofitted brake although not one fitted by the factory in 1960 to the twins.

That front wheel usually requires different fork sliders and that combo is often found on rocket goldstar replica's. The correct '60 hub was a full width cast iron hub with very narrow shoes, so tends to wear the shoes fairly quickly.

i am also a new member(a few months ago) and rebuilding a 57 A10 spitfire
