Went to fit the old forks from my "youthful rage " A10 to the A65 one time.
Did not look or feel sight so I pulled them apart to find a 2 piece staunchion in one side a a crack 3/4 wat through the other.
This was the bike I got booked on @ 122 mph & mum made me pull it apart till the 4 year disqualification period was over.
Good thing I never put it back together again.
Pull the forks apart.
If nothing else they will need new oil and new seals won't hurt the handleing either.
