barn find
« on: 02.02. 2014 20:28 »
Hi all
On talking to an old friend a few months ago about classic bikes he happened to mention that he had a few bits and pieces and a complete bike in a farmer friends old barn about 50 miles away, he had put them there about 30 years ago!!  anyway to cut a long story short I have got the bike now in my workshop!!! it was hidden and covered in old barn junk this is how it looked when it came home and after a brush down. All the rubbers including the tyres perished engine seized soiled and all the chrome dead and rusty it clams to be a dresda but I think it is a glorifier triton that just thinks it's a dresda.
Anyway its worth restoring.
It just goes to show there is still some gems out there waiting to be found.

Steve

Good find Steve.

I dont know enough about them to say if its genuine Dresda or not but it certainly has lots of good bits on it. Norton wideline frame, probably a Bonneville motor and those carbies are worth a fortune on their own.

Well done.

Hi Steve,
Great find
I would contact Dave Degens who will know if it is one of his builds

It certainly looks like a serious piece of kit  *smile*

Regards
John
