Tyre inflator mounting
« on: 22.02. 2014 21:43 »
Good evening, would anyone have any info why my Super Rocket might not have a top mounting lug for the tyre pump? I was looking through the archived messages and it seems Johns SR is the same. Could it be that the original pump came with a mounting attached? I thought mine probably had been broken off and not replaced when it was restored but that may not be the case hopefully. Thanks.
Martin

Martin,
It was probably removed by someone who had his hand opened up by the bloody ridiculous piece of thin sheet metal. I assume that you are talking about the top mount.
I think that the RGS frame is the only one without the top mount. Maybe the RGS didn't ever get a flat tyre.

Hi John,
Does your SR frame have the "extension" welded onto the bottom pump mount?
