BSA B33 1949 gearbox oil change
« on: 23.02. 2014 14:00 »
Can anyone help me please. I want to change the gearbox oil in my 1949 B33 but it's not clear where to fill it to. Manuals for this model are not very clear. There seems to be no oil level plug. Thanks for any photos / diagrams. Terry.

Welcome to the forum, this is a specialized a7\a10 place, but many members know about the b33 and will surely help you. Moving it to chat & offtopic.

Btw, got an A7\10, or planning to get one ?

Co-incidently I have just cleared the bench to start taking apart my B31 rigid project's gearbox, it's same type as yours...I will have a good look for a level plug for you (and me)!

HI Kiwi,
There's no level plug fitted, oil level comes to near the circular cap
Any extra just leaks out the kickstart shaft  *sad2*
