Conversion to 12V and ignition
« on: 23.02. 2014 18:26 »
Hey guys,
I'm quite new to the techincal aspects of vintage bikes and hope you can help me solve a problem.
I'm converting my A10 from 6 to 12V (mostly because my old battery died on me and I thought I might as well change). When changing to 12V do I need to do anything to the magneto ignition in order not to fry anything?

Cheers :)

No the Magneto generates it's own low tension voltage independent of the battery and bikes electrics
All the best - Bill
1961 Flash - stock, reliable, steady, fantastic for shopping
1959 Rocket Gold Flash - blinged and tarted up  would have seizure if taken to  Tesco
