Hi Garry
Its not an easy task, first check if you have to many shims on top of the bushes, preventing clip entry, certainly need both hands with blunt screw driver or similar tools, one to hold part of clip in the groove then the other to feed remainder in.

Garry,

Do you mean with the forks in the trees or loose? If they are in the trees, just getting the seal holders out of the way is an issue. Here is a photo of how I did that. There are probably better ways, but I was trying to earn my Boy Scouts of America ("BSA") merit badge for Bodging. (Or is it McGivering?)

It should be easy to fit them providing they are made to have a gap between the ends once fitted and the groove is clear eg not obscured by the top bush.

I fiitted some and because they were made such there was no gap when fitted they were near impossible to remove later requiring attacking by a dremel to get out.

I cut 6mm off one of the ends to make them easily removable and fitted them so one end covers the gap in ghe groove provided for removal with a little overlap so a screw driver could lever one end up easily.

Im pretty sure the clips are meant to have a reasonable gap when fitted in which case there are some incorrect clips being supplied......

Copy that, I got a set from a BSA eminence that are too thick to fit in the groove ( before assembling )

I can verify that originals should have a gap when fitted and also even the slightest extra shimming will make them impossible to fit, it's one of those jobs where they will evetually fall in and make you wonder what you were doing wrong
