No, Richard, never tried, attaching pictures here is about the limit of my abilities! That pic of me is approx. 1980 and in the UK we only had black, white (and pink!) film then! Your version definitely an improvement!
And dynamo update....I tried your suggestion Trev, and it spun fine albeit in the wrong direction, reversed the field wires and it obliged ! Its now wired as in Brians picture so hopefully something will happen when I start it up.
Did come across a snag though, once I'd fiddled it into place I found that it would no longer turn at all.....taking it back out and apart again I realised that the end part isn't indexed to the body and it had turned a little jamming the armature...
So I filed a small groove in the body, re aligned it and then drilled a hole down the groove and put in a c lock pin....now seems ok and have fitted a belt kit so even if it seizes again hopefully the belt will just break....with luck will be starting the motor over the weekend and hope to see the odd volt or two oozing out of it....
