Hi folks,

The timing setting for the A10 GF is 11/32" btdc when fully advanced. Would anyone know what the measurement btdc would be when not at full advance or is it too small to measure accurately?

The reason that I ask is that I think my timing may have slipped slightly, but would like to verify it, but I don't want to have to take the timing cover off unless I have to.

thanks,

John

G'day John.
The timing at idle should be about 10-12 degrees which would be 31-45 thou" btdc.

Thanks Muskie,

Thanks for the table.

that makes it around 1mm btdc - just a wee bit too small for an accurate measurement. I suppose that's why full advance is specified, so a small change in degrees equates to a large(ish) change in linear measurement. - ye canna alter the laws of geometry captain!

Looks like the timing cover is coming off (again)
