Gone electric!
« on: 23.04. 2014 22:21 »
Well I'm happy with the installation of my SRM electric kit. The unit that fits in the k2f is very neat.
I fitted a dvr2 inside my original reg housing and have mounted the power box to the battery strap between the mudguard. The distributor is at the front.
Fitted the switch at the top, rear of the tool box so it's hidden behind the seat.
With the dummy pick-ups it really keeps the original look.

Was very happy today as got my front nacelle back and rebuilt the front end. Checked all lights & horn and it's all working fine first time. Ran an earth for the front light from the battery also.

Hopefully be running in a few weeks!

Certainly couldn't have done it without the help of everyone on this forum!  *smile*

Good idea fitting the twin coil to the battery strap. That way the plug leads are coming from the back as originally.
I mounted mine upfront to the tank strap, but I'm not really happy with the way the leads run.
One thing's for sure, you won't regret the conversion *wink2*
