Over 1329 trouble free miles under my belt :)
« on: 29.04. 2014 16:32 »
Hi fella's not been on the forum as much as I should, I hope all is well for everyone. As the title suggests I've done 1329 miles and she's still going strong, and she's never left me stranded on the road side, admitidly I did have a few issues with getting the old girl started when I first got her (mainly due to me not having the nack and flooding her & the carb being slightly too rich) but she has been a 100% loyal friend to me. I've named her Betty. I've also managed to keep her right side up, quite an achievement with all the kn@bs on the road, I have had quite a few near misses (about 5) due to stupid drivers not looking where they are going, but still here to tell the tale.
Hers to the next 1329 mile trouble free (I hope) all the best fella's. Chicargo

G'day chicargo, great to hear mate. Betty will give you many many more s-miles
Tin top drivers are only concerned with themselves. I recon all drivers should spend a week in a sidecar or pillion on a postie, traveling through the capital city. *bright idea*
Cheers

Somebody once suggested taking them for a ride on the end of a rope, would be highly amusing if nothing else  ;)

Cheers fella, not really done much to be honest, piston oil ring, dynamo belt conversion, oil change, cleaned filter mesh in oil tank ect. True testament to how well these bikes were made. Pitty modern stuff isn't made the same.
