G'day Michael.
A std low comp (6.5 - 7.25:1) is 5/16". Any higher with a 356 cam is 3/8". BUT with modern fire water it may need retarding a tad.
Cheers

hello, in the u.k. we can still buy premium fuel without large quantities of ethanol. its much easier and more enjoyable to keep to standard timing figures and buy higher octane while its available.
