Hello,
I suppose the first part of this post should be to say that my bike is back up and running and seemingly well. The back story of my problems getting to this point is for another topic. Right now I just wanted to share a photo from one of my favorite places to ride near my home. The photo is of Wilson Hall at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, IL Fermilab played a big role in the discovery of the Higgs Boson, providing core research and, I believe, manning the local control center for the Large Hadron Collider when the discovery was mde. Fermilab is a big piece of land with its own herd of American Bison and its own village to house visiting scientists. The Tevitron accelerator is mostly out of use now, since the LHC is so much more powerful, and powerful a tool.
You can see the rear wheel of my bike in the lower-left corner.
