In the words of the song -"what a difference a day makes" although many many days of hard work to get her back to that shape, really nice job, best wishes BobH

lovely clean job.
I haven't got one but I do like a black Flash, I was intending to paint my Gold one in it's original black but wife and friends persuaded me to keep it gold.
think a scruffy black Flash sticks in the memory and people just don't appreciate  how good a nice one looks.
Anyway well done
All the best - Bill
1961 Flash - stock, reliable, steady, fantastic for shopping
1959 Rocket Gold Flash - blinged and tarted up  would have seizure if taken to  Tesco

WOW, one owner, great job. You must have fond memories of getting her that scruffy in the first place.

Beezermac, I'm curious about the bike in your avatar: looks like a BSA with a different, ( Honda?) engine.

Just to clarify, it was a one-owner bike in the condition I acquired it, so it's now two-owners.  The engine in the other BSA in the avatar is a military Armstrong MT500. It goes really well.

I know we should start a new thread for this but can you show us more of your BSA MT500. Got any video?

I've attached a couple of photos. If the moderator chucks it out to 'Off topic' that's OK!

I bought an ex military Armstrong MT500 with that engine to get back on the road after the accident that wrecked my arms - I only do high bars now. I couldn't really get on with it at all. Mine had no leccy start and I always struggled with the left side kicker. I couldn't get it to run right with the late generation Amal either; and fooling with that made me realise it was those carbs that had blighted a 750 Bonneville I owned back in the day that always struggled with air box leaks. Fitted a Mikuni on it in the end.

The bike was clearly built to be squaddie proof though, and spares came in HD wrappings.

I've still got some bits if you want to PM me - including that Mikuni and an unused cam belt still in its box somewhere, if I can find them.
Various, including ...
