Doh, didn't cook mine but I see what you mean Trev. So that way whichever pole gives a 0 reading is earth.

Hi all.

Sorry for the delayed update but I had to go back to sea to earn the cash to keep things ticking over or not. I had the regulator replaced and fitted a belt drive to up the dynamo output a bit and up to now that seems to have done the trick...many thanks for all the helpful advice :)
