Plunger gear change not returning.

Last night i fitted another gear change lever spindle, but its still the same, gear change lever doesnt return to the center when changing from 4th to 3rd. i will undo the camplate indent plunger bolt a few threads tonight and see if that does anything.

Back off the outer cover retaining screws and studs and see what happens.

i tried backing off the outer cover and even added a second gasket, its still the same.even unscrewed the indent plunger a few threads and played around with that, but no change. I think it could be time to strip the gearbox and see what the problem is.
