Wanted - Exhaust downpipe needed for C15
« on: 27.11. 2014 16:36 »
Hi guys,
I have just bought a very early (1958) C15 to use over the winter to save the pretty bikes from the weather and salt. She is rather tatty but all there except for the exhaust downpipe. As the rest of the bike and the silencer are in a poor state it seems silly to put a brand new shinny downpipe on her so I was wondering if anybody in the UK may have a spare used one that would not look out of place. The other thing I need to fix is that the headlamp nacelle shell is rotten around the front lip so the rim does not stay on. A bit of tape will hold it but a non-rotten shell would also be good if there is one of those out there as well.
Cheers, John

Hi Bob, I could not find a C15 forum but have been asking around and looking on Evilbay. Going to Kempton next week so may find one there. Cheers, John

I wonder why they stopped at "C12". In any case, there is some history on our forum here for chatting a little bit about other brands and models owned by our fellow A7/A10'ers. I would be the first one who needs to be careful about not getting carried away. *smile*

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I had seen the C10, C11 and C12 site and also wondered why they went only for the pre unit models. I only thought I would ask on here as I know lots of us have a number of makes and sizes of bikes so worth a shot. Cheers, John

Hi All,
I am also a member of the C 10,11,12 forum
I'm supposing the reason C15`s are not catered for is much the same as why
A50`s /65`s are not part of this forum ???????
Whatever that may be!!!!
Personally I think that the move to unit construction marked the end of an era
