Dad's Old BSA
« on: 11.12. 2014 16:48 »
Dear BSA A7-A10 Forum Members,

I am looking for my Dad's old BSA A10.  The bike is no longer registered with the DVLA but I’m still hopeful that someone has the frame and number plate tucked away somewhere probably without any documents.

All I have to go on is some old photos and the Registration Number 796 FTT

Any information would be greatly received,

Kind Regards,

Adrian.

G'day Adrian,  *welcome*.
I wish you the very best of luck in your quest. Does the DVLA have any records of the bike, last registered to, frame or engine numbers?
Interesting gear linkage, a real cafe racer from the day.
Cheers

Yes, welcome.

Are those all of the photos? Any chance of a closeup of the engine from the left side? If so, maybe we see the engine number. Then, maybe that's traceable through BSA owners club in the UK, who have the factory records and a history of anyone looking for information on a given bike.

Great photos, your dad must have felt like the king of the streets at the time (...with a screaming girl on the rear seat holding tight + police sirens :O)

I like that gearshift setup.

Good pictures. Can you put things into perspective: ie. When were the pictures taken? How old was your pa? Where was this?
