Happy New Year folks!

This is going to be a good year for me; this is the year when money flows from the government to me rather than the other way around: ) I will be 65 in February so able to draw the government pension. Unfortunately the combination of my company pension with the government pension means I will be paying more income tax :(

My company pension evaporated, only in it for five years (badly advised) it was too small for an annuity but would boost my private pension or would have if they'd pulled their finger out and transferred the cash, by the time they did the crash wiped it out, however working in Agriculture meant lots of seasonal overtime so graduated pension (remember that), SERPS and second pension boost my pension a fair bit and a small private one helps.
We got done last budget when he didn't increase pension tax allowance in line with basic allowance. There's an election coming though Mr Osborne  *bash*

Seems strange to me to even say it but I'm 65 on Jan 25, and have just realised I haven't had confirmation of what i 'm likely to get! That'll be my first job in the new year. Anyway going to carry on working for abit2yrs maybe but where do the years fly to! Regards Bob

Bob,

I believe the years fly here and have landed on me. However, my right knee is feeling better than in a long time, so I should be ready for a season of kicking, come spring. As for prosperity in the new year, I'm still trying to figure out a plan for being in business on my own for the fist time in 34 years, but I always feel too busy to get down to it.
