Excellent

It being that time of the year, here in the UK, I pulled the old bitza from the back of the carport last night – where it has sat under covers since around November. Refitted the recently powder coated c/stand, had a quick look around and wiped it all over with an oily rag (I know how to show a girl a good time). Then flooded up and started kicking. Took a few but soon we had life. And an oil return (and no wet sumping either). After which I nipped out for a quick run in the cold and the dark – so nice not to be worrying with MOT and VED these days. It’s only an iron head with flat top pistons but what a great ride. After more recent running of Sunbeam and Nimbus which do have their charms, this feels like a proper sporting gentleman’s steed. Roll on summer.

Ooh; you make me envious.  *smile*. I need to do some jobs on my bike but I don't have time at the moment.

yes me too, although I did sneak a little run of almost a mile a week ago, had just fitted a DVR2 and made the bike Negative earth, flashed the dynamo but got no charge
, got it back in the shed and checked everything again (Dvr2 earth not fully screwed down  *red*) gave it a good handful of throttle - Geronimo -, big deflection to the +, great weather here at the mo so every possibility of another venture out
All the best - Bill

Well, I have jobs to do on other bikes it has to be said. So doubly pleased that this one lit up with no histrionics (yet).

Woke up my Super Rocket on Sunday. Also tucked away since November after fitting a new kick start spring, but not checking at the time, that it worked. Lots of flooding and 20 or so kicks, but we are running!
Somehow life now feels so much better!

Got the RGS MoT tested last week and on Saturday I and the two boys went on a 60 mile run (RGS, replica RGS and a Z1000).  Cold but very satisfying.
We were out again on Sunday morning for the Pioneer Run start on Epsom Downs, another 60 mile round trip.  All well until I managed to fall off on the way home.  Mainly hurt pride and little other damage.  Must remember I'm 60 and not 16.
Just the Super Rocket to finish now (it's close) and we'll have one A10 each, for a trip later this year.

You are ALL very lucky! Here it's something like 6 months winter, 4 months rain, maybe 2 months riding time. And anyway, in my case 12 months back pain  ;)
