Use 1/2" to 9/16" from rim edge to brake drum edge (8" X 1-3/8" brake, WM2-19 rim). This is from John Gardner info for the Gold Star model nearest your A10 plunger.
Someone else might have better info.

Goldstar has the extra ribs around the brake drum wider shoes so would be different for A10 plunger.
1950-53 A10 rigid/plungers, 1958-61 A10 super rockets, 1947-50 A7 longstrokes, 1949 Star twin,
1951-54 A7 plungers, 1940s M21, WDM20s,
1948-50s B33s rigid/plunger/swingarm, 1948-50s b31s rigid/plunger/swingarm

Just put the wheel in the forks and measure the distance between each side of the rim and forks, the rim should be central. Same measurement both sides.

Goldstar has the same brake shoes and drum has same dimensions as standard 8" drum. Use the offset as above as a starting point and check in forks as Brian suggests.

Gday Pete,
Here is the info I gathered from my 52 plunger star twin with 8" brake.
I will be getting new rims and spokes as soon as I find a bank with lax security.
I assume it is correct ???
cheers
