A10itis??????
« on: 26.05. 2015 00:57 »
I seem to be suffering from an affliction I'm calling A10itis. I've got an MGB ready to sell, but haven't taken time to post an ad. Got a '72 VW camper that'll be ready to go with about another $100 in parts and not a whole lot of work. A '73 Triumph Trident getting close to done and a '72 Triumph Daytona engine nearly complete, both to be sold when finished. Still need to strip/paint/reassemble chassis (lot of work there). A few things I need to take care of on the wife's car, firewood cutting for next winter. But............ all I want to do is work on the A10s. Finish up and sell the above projects and I can pay off all debts and have enough money left over to finish up one or maybe both A10s............but I can't stop fooling with the A10s. Is this a common disease? Is there a cure?

There is no cure for A-10itis, and it is totally addicting, and lasts for the rest of your life. Even if you sell all of them, you still are thinking about them any time motorcycles comes up.  I have had mine for forty years, and I think about her all the time, even when it is put away for 6 months of winter.

Built into them by BSA (that's why they produce little reasons to fix things)

Yes I still have a hankering for a black Flash reg GSH 360 that I part exchanges for a Reliant Regal in 62/63 oh the shame of it (mind you cornering on the Reliant was just as interesting) *smile* *smile*

Damn Dutch, you should be a motivational speaker! I cut the grass out front, posted an ad for the MGB (and got a deposit within hours), cleaned the living room floor, rewired the Trident ignition and started assembling the top end of the Daytona. Now can I get back to the A10????

Is that the virus that results in black spots on hands, arms and head - and the occational blue/black nail and bruised knuckles ?
If it is, it has reached Denmark!
Just took a short 100km round trip on the a-10 in between showers - still smiling and heating up on a cup of coffee 😄

So true Bob - and to my left knee in particular (shopping day - too many vouchers for too many shops - could have used an automatic shift for the journey home) ;)

Hi Johnny
I'm afraid the wife has other plans... would have liked to go!
I'm saving my credits for the International BSA Rally in DK this year - as part of the club I will be helping - any of you going?
