Currrently watching a tour of the track at full speed with front mounted camera. Jeezuz! what a speed close to houses, trees etc. That's a dangerous track, those guys are courageous (& a little mad :O) ...or very mad and courageous! But great skills indeed.

Two sidecar teams from NZ over there this year and one OZ/NZ team, I'm hoping to see them do well

I think someone used the term ‘courageous’ in one of these threads, but that’s not right to me. Bravery and courageous to my mind suggests doing something you would really rather not, usually fearfully, and for the benefit of others.

Never the less, as a demonstration of the human spirit at the absolute outer edges of performance you have to salute them. Unfortunately, for me it looks just so close to the catastrophic edge that in fact I can’t bear to watch it – even on television. Hats off to them all.

Darn it! Had the TT recorded on DVR. Went to watch it this morning and it was cancelled due to high winds. They said they'll be running today.

Brilliant film that, saw it on the big screen. Sadly the year kiwi Paul Dobbs died racing on the island...
doing something he loved.
I recall they talk to a sidecar crew that have a "no hares" image on the bike as they had previously hit one which had caused a big off, I think one of the crew lost part of a leg... and they still race and see the funny side. Working class heroes the lot.
