Yes, I have heard about the concerns, but has anyone actually had any problems or is it just speculation.

I have used the clutch around 3000 miles without any problems.

To date, no problems at all with the double Cush arrangement. I had reservations when I put it back together, but the budget was gone for anymore GS bits. So, the 3 spring center stayed.

Not sure if it is the double compensator arrangement or something else, but the driveline is exceptionally smooth on the GS.

Apologies for hijacking the thread but thanks for the feeback on shock absobers. My belt drive has the three spring centre and I might yet use that then converting back to chain so it helpful to know.
Never tell people your troubles. Half of them are not interested and the other half are glad you're getting what's coming to you.

The unit clutch has the shock absorber centre. I am sure I recall there being a discussion somewhere about whether running with the standard cush drive and the clutch centre shock absorber could create any problems.
You delete the spring and put a spacer on the outside to keep the cush drive cams together
