Charity ride
« on: 13.06. 2015 17:21 »
About to take off on an hour-long police escorted charity ride with a lot of Harleys. Great fun because you don't stop at stop signs or traffic lights.

Me and bike back in one piece. 65 miles non-stop including about four miles of unscheduled gravel road. She ran great, though a couple people behind me said they could smell burning oil.

Your bike sort of stood out like a pimple on a bum among all those Harleys there mate..   *shh*
Those police escorted rides can be good fun...
I once went to a mates 1% funeral along with about 200 other bikes,
I sat at the rear of the procession going through red lights
with a copper in a car behind me with lights flashing & not having to
Pull Over was a new experience  *eek*    *lol*

I don't think riders of moderns are really attuned to all of the fine smells that can come off the big bits of iron that older engines tend to have - though duly noted you are at least not sporting an iron head.

Richard, it would have been nice to see you along with your beautiful machine. Maybe that's you in the pink top.  ;)

Hah - Maybe we have a new photo competition; for most fetching owner/rider?

(Additional category for smartest bike/ugliest owner, just to give some of us a chance.)

Pardon the oversight with the photos. Here is one that is, admittedly, somewhat outdated.

So that's what you look like Richard. You know, smoking may shorten your life!

So can driving Porches. (Oops, "Porsches". See below.)
