On my, (Plunger) bike the front edge of the badge is 3 5/16", (three and five sixteenths inches) from the front edge of the tank. The front screw is 4 3/8", (four and three eighths inches) up from the bottom edge of the tank. The rear screw is 4 7/8", (four and seven eighths inches) up. Would you prefer metric measurements?

Bear in mind I have the large fuel tank.

Thanks Graybeard! mine is with swing arm suspension, does anyone know if there is another position of the badges on the petrol tank for plunger frame against the tank for swing arm frame?

I'd like to know if the badges fitted to the side panels of the A65 are the same as the earlier tank badges.

UPDATE: I can see from that photo that the words Golden Flash are not there, and they are not curved but are they the same size?

The screws are 5BA but there are others who will say 1/8" BSW. It is quite easy to screw either screw into either thread, both are 1/8".

perhaps this helps get a spacial idea

pics of my 56 A10 GF

tank and badges are original...colour scheme not so... *eek*
the badges are curved not flat

tape measure was laid on against tank for all measurements

you should see 11cm and 17cm measurements if the pics come thru

let me know if you need more measurements

If you look inside the tank through the filler hole, you should be able to see the backs of the blind threaded inserts(they probably have a better name than that)... If they're still there- can't imagine why they wouldn't be. ... *????*

.. That is, in case you haven't already done that, and just need the exact measurements to scape the paint and clean out the holes. .. *whistle*

Thanks Scotty!
The reason that I need the position on the bagdes is that I bought a gas tank made in India where badges are placed too far forward as the tank to Plunger.
