Oil feed pipes

Hi all, I took off the oil feed pipes last year to replace them with new ones, since then she who must be obeyed wanted a new bathroom, job done. Can someone tell me please which is the feed and return pipes, as you look  where they come out of the engine  upper or lower, also on the oil tank as well.ie; (top one from engine, feed, to top of oiltank) whatever, somethink as clear as pos I don't want to get it wrong! Thanks.

Which model is it, rigid, plunger or swinging arm?

OOPS it's a 1958 A10 swinging arm.

I've got a 56 A10 GF S/A

On the crankcase the lower hole is feed and the upper is return to tank

Ditto with your oil tank. Lower spigot is feed and upper spigot is return.

You'll probably recall that the oil tank return spigot has the rocker feed branching of it so it's a bit longer to accept the banjo fitting.
