I've been on an organised ride-in today. Over 800 motorcycles gathered at the Triumph works at Hinckley to set off at 10.15 for a 45 mile ride to this event:

Brackley gets shut for this event and thousands of bikers arrive and their machines are parked on every available space. The wide central street is arranged so that a group of machines from different era's can enter and race around a loop of road. I don't know much about racing machines but I know they were incredibly noisy! I do know there was a group of Orange KTM racers and one of the riders dropped his steed. Very embarrassing in front of thousands of watchers!

There were static displays of amazing customised bikes and in a nearby field there was a Wall of Death and BMX and motorbike trials displays.

As my machine stood out like a sore thumb among all the modern machinery it gathered a lot attention. I don't know how many blokes Dad's used to have one of them!
