Is the OEM spares List Right?
« on: 05.10. 2015 19:30 »
 Hi All

Finished Stripping down the cylinder head and gave it a good clean and found the part No 67-25. Some time ago I bought an OEM spares list manual thinking that this would be the bible for the renovation project, so out of curiosity I checked the spares list only to find that the listed number in the book was  67-24. This fills me with doubt now that the book is different to what I actually have particular for ordering spares.............................. or am I over reacting.

Cheers Bob

G'day Bob.
The casting/forging number is one away from the part number.

Thanks Muskrat

So i understand does that mean that the part number starts from the list number and then as each head is produced the number increases ?
(Does that sound thick?)

Have a good one

It means the raw casting has one number and the finish machined part has the next. The second part is made from the first.
Does that make sense?
