Brilliant! Have ordered pack of five of the top lot at £1.99 or something as daft as that. But I note that the second type, which doesn't need annealing, are priced at £199 if you go to the correct size. And the one on the opening page is £144. Someone (or some algorithm) is clearly confusing decimal points, so I'm certainly not clicking buy it now in case I end up paying the quoted price for a small ring of copper.
Firstly, is weeping from the oil tank a common problem, and do most owners use the standard fibre washer? Or is it not standard and should they be copper?
Secondly, it's a long time since I donned blue overalls in metalwork at school and annealed a copper ash tray. How does one anneal a copper ring? Is it just a case of warming it up a lot and bunging it in cold water with a hiss, whoosh of steam and stench of hot metal?
