Engine/gearbox clearance figures

Everything is moving along with the engine and gearbox rebuild.
What I'm looking for is a source of information for all the clearances. Everything from crankshaft endfloat, camshaft endfloat, bushing clearance, layshaft tolerance, etc. Etc.

 I have Bacons and that awful Haynes manual. Am I missing a book?

 Is there one source for all this important rebuild information?

 I forgot about the service sheets.....I knew something was slipping my mind, but whatever it was had slipped my mind.

 Ok, enough of that.

 Thanks GB, I will have a perusal through the wiki also.

 No matter how many or what kind of motors you rebuild, there is always that little voice warning you that you are overlooking something. After the cases come back, the only things (I believe) I have left to do is remove any casting flash, chase a few holes, do the A65 anti drain valve conversion,
clean the cases 2 more times, and put it together.

I hope you havn't sent the cases for blasting without  blocking off the oil bleed from the
pressure release valve to the cam trough, theres a bleed hole from this to the cam gear
This oilway is virtually impossible to clean out without drilling out the pressed in blanking plugs

 Nope,

 All that was marked (with red tape) and then sent to the blaster. He then blocked those passages with some type of metal looking "super tape" before work began (whatever that tape was, I had to peel/pry it off with a small screwdriver) I also included instructions to NOT concentrate blasting inside the cases, incidental blasting was fine.  I made a small metal plate and gasket that fit over the oil pump area, so that was protected.The cases are back, and on their way to a place called Morries for machining

 Vapor blasting inside the cases is a waste IMO, and can only lead to trouble. The only time I would even think about having them deliberately blast the inside was if I planned to use Glyptol. I personally am not sold on the idea, and dont use it.
