There is always an element of the unknown with any engine that you have not built yourself. With the head off and the cylinder base nuts removed the barrel lifts off. Cam followers remain in the barrel, cam condition can also been inspected.
The rings may seal well in the bore, but if there is more than a couple of thou up and down movement in the ring grooves oil will work it's way up into the combustion chamber. Short term.... I'd run it as is until it is convenient to search deep down within.
