12v question
« on: 13.04. 2017 21:02 »
At the moment I am 12v using a DVR2.
If I replace my dynamo with an Alton alternator, do I have to dump the DVR2 or keep DVR2 and just swap dynamo for alternator and use existing dynamo wires ?

An Alton alternator should be supplied with a regulator/rectifier  designed to suit. I think the makers' current choice is a Podtronics unit, which is a good one.. So you wouldn't need the dynamo regulator, no. The two sorts of regulator do different things and aren't interchangeable.
