Speedo cable
« on: 07.06. 2009 10:27 »
Hi Guys, Can someone please tell me if there is any kind of o ring or washer on the end of the speedo cable where it fits on the gearbox, mine is leaking quite badly.

Hi Tone... I found a thread about this that was discussed in the past. Seems a common problem, I need to look at mine again. Hope you find a cure!

Hi Tone
I guess the oil is coming from the gear box there is an 'O' Ring behind the drive (not done the job myself)

BSA Part No: 65 - 3395 or Lyford Classic Tel: 01773 768900 their part no:LCS 2041AA price 50p etc I am sure C&D Autos will have it as well.

Some where I have read how to change it, if I can find it I will post it.

P.S I have a O ring but not the knowledge.

Regards

The leak is not coming out the drive, but at the end of the outer cable where the knurled nut.
