Cleaning the Garage

Nothing results in a cleaner garage more than hunting for a valve spring retainer that shoots across the room when the compressor slips off the cap.

Yep, sort of like experience, you find it just after you really needed it.
I'm not looking forward to cleaning out my shed, there'll be hundreds of little lost bits.

After a thorough whisk-brooming around, under and on the bench, and just before heading to the internet to buy new ones, found it in the middle of the garage floor, the result of a big ricochet. Now, I might finish the job under a tent.

Similar thing with 5/16 th nuts, none in hand so after raking out below the bench where it seemed to roll I ordered some up, then next trip into the shed there it is proud as punch below my stool

 yep- how many times have I stopped searching for things and take to another task or ten and the lost bit magically reappears (or not)

I must say Bill I'm bad enough, trying to find my forever elusive things, (even when I just put it down 15 seconds ago!), but if you need a labeller to tell you what it's for, there's NO hope for you at all!
