Is that the one auctioned by Bonhams recently or something of your own??  Wondering about the dual carbies.  Is that a factory BSA manifold or an aftermarket piece?
IF possible would love some closeups of the carbs from many angles.

Very NICE!  (Mechanical P  O  R  N )

Sorry for the multiple post.  I'm having a steep learning curve on photo posting.  I'd personally like to open a can of "whoopass" on the marketing department of Photo Bucket.  I'll see them in hell before I pay the ransom.

The before shot.

Very nice! Thanks for the details.  That head was a great score!...  One of my neighbors up the road Tony P, is a Englishman from Leeds, and VERY forceful and opinionated.  He also grew up in the end of the Rocker era and some amusing photos of him from back in the day. (He bears a strong resemblance to Roger Daltry)
But Tony confronted a owner of an alleged RGS many years ago at our annual "All British Field meet" which highlights cars, bikes and the range rover or 3.  So Tony just gave the guy a endless amount of grief his bike was not real or correct as "Everyone knows a RGS has twin carbies!".
Tony rarely admits to being wrong, but he sheepishly admitted to me a few years ago he felt like an idiot years later to learn they are typically NOT dual carb.
We all like to tease him that despite owning a company that manufactures aircraft parts the lad cant pronounce aluminum correctly.  He says we are the ones wrong.
Post away, post often. (just like a Chicago election, vote early & often)  you have my vote for your lovely bit of "Balled up Ally" as Tony would say.

Yep, I have Eddie Dow's A10 tuning notes here and he states that there is little point in mounting twin carbs on an A10. I quite like the looks of them, but if the RGS creator himself said that, then I guess not too many Eddie Dow RGS were fitted with twin carbs.

In spite of Eddie's advice, same as most A10 owners, if I could find a somewhat affordable twin carb head for the Super Rocket, it would be on there!

Off topic by this point, But I know several Yorkshire folks.... Creamed peas!

We have a Yorkie in our Norton club and I have had the chance to talk to Stuart Garner on the phone and he has an identical accent as our local guy, they sound identical, same tone, slang, and pace. I think they are twins.

My wife just got a puppy now 4 months old, Full of P**s and vinegar... a Yorkie.  Serious attitude that little beastie.  I never had a small dog before so its an adjustment.

And finally,, (What are they on about????)  see this video here and it all becomes quite clear

I am almost at the end of my restoration, I spent quite a long time removing the red paint from the pile arms.
I notice that the arms are painted red the same as mine were.
Did I do right to remove the paint or did it come from BSA painted red ?
My bike is a 1958 A7SS
