no it fires every time both piston come up to the top ( one on compression the other on exhaust stroke), believe it's called the wasted spark system

LOL, Bill your double spark set up was already excepted from that statement.
I should have qualified by saying with a mag or something.

Yes in the case of a maggie on a four stroke,.

Two strokes and impulse do dahs could be different, but then we're starting to split hairs or cycles *doubt*
