Idiot car drivers again!

I know we've all suffered from them but god almighty some car drivers are just plain stupid ! Yesterday I was out on the Bezza enjoying a little run out prior to a late lunch .I'd done about 20 miles on the twisty back roads and was heading back home just entering Ince Blundell ,a typical sleepy small village complete with  a couple of bends and  with speed bumps, 500yds and you're passed it  .i've just done a tight left which is followed by a tight blind right hander fortunately i'd moved towards the nearside just as a ford focus comes screaming round this bend on my side of the road overtaking a cyclist ,the bloody idiot was totally unaware that what he'd done was not only stupid but almost murderous ! He missed me thankfully by inches whilst I cursed him to hell and back ,driving like that methinks as got to see him or most likely some other innocent person killed !

My missus is sick and tired of me complaining about other road users. 

My current cursing challenge is drivers tailgating me.  I was driving on an unknown bendy country road with my son recently when a car got very close behind me; after a while I just slowed down as that's really the only safe thing to do when the stopping distance is ridiculous. My son told me off for getting cross because he said the limit is 50MPH and I was only doing 40. I explained to him that's the maximum speed, not the required speed!

Yep their out there. Over the years I've been knocked off 4 times by tin top drivers.
For tailgaters I let them get real close then turn the lights (they think brake lights) on as I accelerate away.

As we all know, we should pull in and let them past then follow at a safe distance and watch them go through a hedge. The satisfaction of seeing a new Range Rover wrapped round a tree is quite rewarding, let me tell you.

You should know that tailgaters are in a hurry to get home as there house is on fire! the best thing to do is put your indicator on to pull over slow down and let them pass and as stated seeing them wrapped around a tree ####**@ I feel for the tree

I very much doubt that today's younger driver even knows what hand signals are, if you start waving your arms about they will probably think that you're being abusive.

I do hand signals for left & right when riding but when a car was following me too close the other day I used the 'I am slowing down' arm up and down signal. As I was waving my arm I was thinking; I bet he has no idea what this signal means. Luckily the following driver knew what I meant and swept past.

I haven't looked at the highway code for years, do they still show hand signals ?
