Just a short hop of just under 2000Km (1250 miles) return for me.
The BSA National is next month at Cowra NSW. Only 730Km (456 miles) return, nice little weekend ride.
Anyone here going to either?

 Not completely undoable, but also probably not doable either...add another 1000+K each way for me for the Cowra (Breakout), and one or the other or both (add another 2000K) or neither ....That's a couple of oil changes on the way, and not to mention selecting the right tool and spare thingy for the trip

Trailer to within 150 miles, then, ride in the rest of the way. That way you'll still be walking around with the correct wobble, thus verifying your dedication, but the bike and you will be far less the worse for wear.

Would be fantastic to participate - but I'm afraid both distance - transport logistics and economically undoable. I spent a week in Geelong in the neighbourhood in 1976 and always have dreamed about coming back - we had a small presentation by the Aussie guys at the 2017 International Rally in the Netherlands.

Just at the moment we on this little rock are getting a TV series called Outback Truckers, fascinating to watch just for the scenery, now im too long in the tooth to believe its all real (im sure some bits are made just for effect) But Hells Bells some of your roads are bloody awfull ...........especially the ones shown this week with an outback bar at the end of it waiting for its delivery of beer

I'm feeling guilty about not planning to go (i.e. asking for the applicable permit from mission control  ) given it's so close to NZ. But I will ask the NZ bsa club if they are thinking of getting a container organised  you never know eh

Hi All just back from a visit to Halls Gap, the venue for the 2018 BSA international rally to be held this November (yep I'm on the committee), and the location and rally programme planned is amazing. Hoping to meet up with fellow A7/A10 fans like myself. I'll be doing a talk all about Kenny Eggers BSA Daytona A7, on one of the nights with photos of the rebuild, already nervous about that.
Anyhow get your 'A's there, as the one you miss out on, you will never ever get back.
We're expecting up to 300 entries, and we're not too far off that now.

Accommodation is still available in Halls Gap.

While the Parkgate resort may still have a powered site or two. The nearby  Halls Gap Gardens Caravan Park still has cabins and sites available.

If you are still thinking of attending the biggest BSA Rally in the southern hemisphere don't delay. The 10% late fee kicks in on the 11th August.

Just a reminder that the online booking window for the largest BSA Rally in the Southern Hemisphere will close soon.

No Online bookings will be possible after midnight(AEST) Friday 31st August 2018.

If you have not yet booked, then you had better get cracking!

 Wait,

 How can this be the most important international rally of the year, then be held in the middle of the devils butt hole?

 There are 3 people in the world who know where it is, and only 2 of them know how to get there

 They need to hold big rallies where there are : no poisonous snakes, no giant spiders, no man eating crocodiles, and where there are some people within 500 miles would be a big help too.
