Lucas HF1234 Mounting
« on: 30.12. 2017 14:47 »
Does anyone have pictures of how their Lucas Hf1234 Horn is mounted to a late A10 without nacelle?

I messaged a specialist purchased a bracket, they ended up sending me 700168 and the one listed is suppose to be cranked 703349.

I’ve no idea what is “correct” but I’ve seen some bikes with a spacer instead of the cranked bracket?

The cranked bracket is correct but a spacer will do if there is enough length on the stud.
You could double set your bracket but as long as the horn clears the generator leave well enough alone.

Having the wrong one is one thing, but having contacted the expert of horns (Taff the horns), giving him all the information he needs and to receive the wrong one is another thing.

Ordered a new reproduction cranked bracket.

Thank you for your help and above all providing clear pictures.

Taff reckons that there is no such thing as a cranked bracket.
