A10 Rear Brake Plate
« on: 11.01. 2019 02:52 »
Restoring this 58 Super Rocket I found that the rear brake plate had had a major prang up and had been welded but had started to re crack. The only replacement within reasonable proximity was one suitable for a later A10 and on arrival I discover it is missing the lug that holds the outer brake cable and the adjuster. My feeling is that this will be reasonably easy to fabricate and have welded on but as I am currently horizontal due to a back injury I'm unable to have a decent look. Can anyone tell me whether I'm barking up the wrong tree? Part nos. Are 42-6357 to replace 42-6314.

42-6753 is the 3 hole brake plate with the pointing down lever
It has a combined cable abutment/torque arm pin held on by a nut on the inside
