Hi!

It is a pleasure to become a part of BSA community. I am from poland and i am not a good english speaker so please be understanding for my mistakes.
My BSA A10 andventure started 3 months ago when I saw BSA A10 plunger in very bad shape. I am not used to buying bikes with so many parts missing but this time I had to buy like that due to low cost and knowing that i have a lot of time to collect missing parts and restore it.
This month i started disassembly.
Its my second Brit bike. First one is awesome Velo LE 200. Nevertheless its gonna be first one I will restore. My goal is to make it not so orginal but a reliable bike that I can drive approx 500km a day for a whole year. The other one A10 I`ll make as orginal as possible.

Judging by the pictures, it's not that bad. Most, if not all of the bodywork is present.
I think I even see a decent battery carrier/air filter unit!
For the missing parts, it'll take some searching but they do come up regularly through the usual channels

Morris. What do you mean in usual channels?
People like Draganfly for their extensive website with plenty parts lists; https://www.draganfly.co.uk/  or on the continent there’s British only Austria; https://www.vintage-motorcycle.com/en (they currently have a set of front engine plates but I think they’re for an SA), De Groot in Holland who always have a vast stock of spares; https://degroot-bsa.nl/ , also in Holland there’s Peter’s classic bikes who has a lot of new old stock and second hand; http://www.petersclassicbikeparts.nl/contents/en-us/contactus.html , there’s first class magneto service from Brightspark; http://brightsparkmagnetos.com/
A browse through the service and parts suppliers section on this very own forum will also turn up some interesting information

fearie,   Hello and welcome to the forum.  Can you count the number of teeth on the rear wheel brake drum? That will tell us what basic model you have. Is the bike from UK, as number plate letters look old UK style. If so, can you read them all?

 At a first look you have the basics of a good machine. You need a speedo (genuine types very expensive) but the other parts, steering damper, ammeter, switches are all available either used or new, but made to poor quality standards in some cases.

 The toolbox and back mudguard look to be from a later  (maybe different) model.

 Do not worry about your English, it is very good, and do not be afraid of asking questions about anything you do not understand. Have a good look around the Forum, most of the problems you will have can be found, and you may even find some new English Words not in the dictionary!

 Crikey mate that's in better nick than my A7 plunger after I dragged it out of the chook shed.
There you go. A few Aussie words to work out. LOL.
I had a CZ once. Kickstart lever was also the gear lever.

Welcome to the forum. That's quite a collection of bikes you have there. My first thought about the plunger is that it looks like one of those where you just fix the mechanics and leave the crust in place. That assumes it is the original crust.

No luck getting to the blogspot, but I found the facebook page and enjoyed the ride, that is, the ride you were on and the ride it took me on in spirit.

Looking forward to lots more from you. By the way, your English is at least as good as several native speakers on here.

It has 49 teeth and I need new drum. What does it say about my model?

fearie, 49 teeth means it has been used with a sidecar. The drum for solo use has 42 teeth. Change the gearbox sprocket at the same time as the back sprocket and a new chain. The engine unit has to come out of the frame to do this, so wait until you have it all in pieces.

 If you are going to try to start it, I can give you a list of important things to check before you try.

How many teeth should have gearbox sprocket? Do I have to change whole drum or somehow just  sprocket?
I will be very happy to have such list.
