Watching D-Day ceremonies live right now. It never loses importance.

In spending virtual time in Normandy via the TV, wondering what our friend Groily is doing today in Normandy, where I believe you still live. Were you at the ceremonies?

On a strange coincidence, I am about to set off to an Army Reserve Center to test the audio system I designed for the new construction. I didn't set out to have a direct interface with the military on D-Day. It should be interesting.

Apologies to my European friends.  We could have sent a more respectable representative to this solemn occasion.

Army reserve update: turned out to be just and unoccupied construction site. No events.

I must admit I had a bit of a smirk when HE & Melania were talking to D Day veterans when one old veteran commented on how beautiful Melania looked, & that IF only he was 20 years younger ...

Apologies to any Americans who saw the (few) anti-Trump  demonstrators. They should have been more respectful on this solemn occasion and saved their virtue-signalling for a more appropriate time and place.

Well whilst no great admirer of Thrump  at least he conducted himself correctly for this occasion , it was really good to see so many US vets there  ,how proud we are of them all and rightly so .

[/I know that we shouldn't get political on here, but since you started it.......There are some of us who are very proud to have a Commander in Chief who truly loves we Veterans, the Police, ICE and doesn't go around the world apologizing for America! He is unconcerned with political correctness and works every day to try to improve the lives of every American. I'll be voting for him again!.
