Welcome aboard! Pictures and bike story always appreciated. And which country (maybe Holland?) so we can add a flag to your signature.

About "letting me in", zero investigations aimed at any individual person \ bike owner. Any checking + waiting time before account acceptance is solely to filter out any (very) possible chinese, ukrainian, russian etc botnet registration attempts, stop them getting in posting spam and trash.
