I am new to this forum and I am looking for information about whether BSA ever produced a different bottom front fork yoke for a 1951 Plunger A10 to change the fork angle when a sidecar is fitted.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Also sorry, my plunger Ten pulled a chair for most of its life I think but I have nothing to compare it to so no idea whether it's standard, or even originally part of the same bike.

My parts list only shows a std pair of yokes bar a slight change in 53 to the top yoke for headlight mounting.

I also own a '51 that pulled a chair around for many years, the only difference I've noticed is the addition of a hole for the steering lock.

 Its a bit of a minefield, as the same geometry can be used on different models, but under different part numbers depending on application. The steering lock is a good example. Plunger frames only have the lock towards the end of production. The frame changes slightly with a plate for the lock operating plunger added to the steering head. So here a late type top yoke with a hole for the lock mount can be used on an early frame, but without a plate the lock is useless. The part number and forging change, but the geometry is the same.

Conversely top yokes with locks for Plunger and S/A Models look similar, but as they have different forging numbers and applications they can't be a simple swap in my estimation. The bottom yokes are distinctly different.
