South Wales BSAOC weekend August 2021
« on: 24.08. 2021 17:20 »
I didn't want my tablet to get wet while I was riding so I left it back at my accomodation. Here are a few pictures snapped by another member.

I'm second in the line leaving the carpark.

At sea this is a distress signal, perhaps he has bike problems.

Good on you GB for riding there and home again in the bad weather. Great that you have the confidence in your machine to make the trip in those conditions...one day I hope I will feel like that about my one, currently we are waiting for over due parts to arrive...frustrating, very frustrating.

In anticipation of not having complete confidence in my mount in time for the club rally in November here (BSAOC of South Australia) I have commenced modifications to my trailer in case I need to take the bike up to Burra as a non-runner :-(

I joined the BSAOC and VMCC to get rides. I'm not really there for the socialising and boozing. There were a group of mates at that meeting who declined a damp ride and spent the day in the pub.

I'm sympathetic to folks who live far off so decide to trailer their machines. At the South Wales meeting there were a husband and wife who live in Middlesborough. That is about 350 miles from South Wales. They come to most of the national meetings. Neither of them are in top health. They put their A65 in their camper van.

👍
I do worry about how long my original conrods will last. I am reluctant to take engine revs very high. I tend to cruise at 55 to 60mph.
