Oil seal A7 crankshaft

Does no one out there remember installing an oil seal on a semi-unit A7?  My plea for help falls on deaf ears.  I know I'm the neediest guy in the Forum, but I'll soon calm down?

Gearbox mainshaft or crankshaft? I replaced the gearbox mainshaft seal on my A7 when it was apart. I think the replacement came from Drags but it was a standard industrial garter seal.

 Brandis...Simple answer is that your early engine does not have a crank seal. Other simple answer is that when you posted, halfway around the world was asleep.
 I'm losing the plot slightly. Are you missing the crank and rods, or is that some other fella?

Engine crankshaft.  When I got the bike, the crankshaft, rods and pistons were missing.  I have to assume there's a seal there because otherwise there's a pretty clear path for the oil to get primary chain case.  The problem is that in '47, BSA made changes to the engine after #600.  And most literature describes the engine after that.  I have #280.

Assumption does not always = fact. Your engine, as Swarfy says above your post, does not have an oil seal on the crank. The 'seal' is mechanical (oil slinger).
