I have a Norton filter using EMGO cartridge filters mounted in the tool box. I see these are £4.90 plus VAT plus delivery. I have changed a filter yet as I am still running in.   This does not seem too much to pay.

Worthy
RGMNorton.co.uk

I have fitted the Norton filter head and was keen to use short cartridges to leave some room in the toolbox for my coil and electronic ignition maybe sone tools.

A smaller cartridge may block more quickly but given my expected mileage, the relatively small engine and a filter is an added extra to the design I was not worried about it.

BTW the picture turned through 90 degrees. It is in fact the right way up. I have not changed the filter yet but I am hoping it is not too messy. Mind you if it is it will match the rest of bike that is driving me mad with leaks.

Beware of VAT and delivery. Annoyingly three filters comes to £26.95. I always feel cheated when websites add VAT. It is not as if there is an option.

Hi John,
The oil pump delivers less than 0.5 litres/minute, so blockage will never be a problem.

Cheers John!  I'm a bit of a bulk buyer, the logic being that the stuff is cheaper and I can sell the rest if I don't use it.  Very pleased with myself yesterday as I bought 6 HF204 filters for the Kwaka at £26.99 (about £4.50 each).  Even better though, was that there was a promotion on Ebay which took 10% off, so a little over £24 for the 6 (free postage too), I love deals like  that.  Each filter came out at £4.04 each *smile* *smile*  Now I'm looking to do the same for the HF153s?

From what I've been advised on the Forum, I wouldn't worry about blockages anyway.  It takes a lot of cack to block a filter, then there's the bypass valve which basically means the motor would be running the way it was originally designed.

My filter arrangement means I can put in a variety of filter heights, but not widths as it sits between the engine plates where the ski slope usually goes - seems to be working extremely well at the moment!

Went there many years ago for something, and they were good for price. TBH, I'd forgotten all about them - will check them out! *smile*
